Application Guide
Application: Part I
- This is the basic information we need from you including the best email address and phone number at which to reach you.
- If you don’t see Part I when you begin your application, don’t worry, we already have your basic information. However, you will have the option of updating this information if it has changed recently.
Application: Project Profile
- Once you submit Part I, you will be taken to a project profile form. Note: this project profile will be public, but the other parts of your application will not be.
- Fill out the profile for the project that you’re applying for. Enter as much information as you can. And add some great photos!
- If you’ve already created a project profile for the project you’re applying for, you can skip this section. But please make sure you can locate the project profile that you’ve already created because you will need to include that URL in your application.
- Submit your project.
Application: Part II
- You will now be taken to Part II of your application where you will be asked for more specific details about your project.
- Answer the three essay questions. Make sure your thoughts are clear and you have a defined plan for your project.
- Next you’ll be asked to download some attachments. You must download a photo and we encourage you to attach news clippings, a budget, etc. Click the “Upload” button to attach these documents.
- Click the boring legal boxes and submit!
Application: Recommendation Letter
- Once you submit your application you will be given a link (on the screen and via email) that you can send over to your recommender/s.
- Your recommender only needs to click on that link to get to a standard recommendation letter form. Note: Recommenders must submit their letters online; we cannot accept mailed, faxed or emailed recommendation letters.
- When your recommender submits their recommendation, you will be notified.
NOTE: You can edit your application by logging into http://www.dosomething.org, going to My Profile and clicking on “my grant applications.”
GOOD LUCK!
