  • Get them started on a Facebook account. Set it up and show them what Facebook looks like, and how to enter the information they want to share. Help them upload a picture so their profile is complete.
  • Show them how to find and add friends and family.
  • Teach your senior how their facebook feed and wall works so they can understand
    the timeline.
  • Take them through their privacy settings so that they understand what information is being shared, and what stuff they want to keep private.
  • Show them how to upload photos and create a photo album.
  • Introduce them to tagging.
  • Help them “like” pages of things that interest them.

  • Show them the ropes. Teach them how to create an account and make sure their webcam is plugged in and working properly. Go through their settings to make sure they make sense.
  • Assist them with setting up their privacy settings so they can customize who can contact them on Skype.
  • Help them find their friends and family who are using Skype and show them how to add them to their contact list.
  • Try a test Skype video and/or voice call and show them how to start an instant message conversation or to share their screen. Show them what all the different buttons do and make sure they are comfortable with the setup.

  • Help them set up their account and get started in Gmail
  • Show them how to set up their full name in their settings so that Grandmaquilter@gmail.com shows up in people’s inboxes with her real name (Sally Jo Homemaker)
