Award Description:
The awards celebrate the success of volunteers who give their time, talent, and energy to help others. The volunteers represent all backgrounds and beliefs, and rage from children to older adults. The awards spotlight the impact that various individuals, groups, businesses and families have made in their communities. Each weekday, one volunteer or volunteer effort in the country receives a Daily Point of Light Award.
Eligibility Guidelines:
Must solve a community concern; special consideration for activities that benefit or involve young people. Online form must describe the type of service, including narrative statement and up to 10 pages of supplementary material. Open to U.S. residents only. Any individual, organization, group, family, business or labor union actively engaged in voluntary service* directed at domestic or international problem-solving may apply for a Daily Point of Light Award.
