Award Description:
The awards recognize & honor community service volunteers in areas of youth achievement, parks/open spaces, healthy communities, & public safety/community response. Different awards are given out based by category based on number of volunteer hours.
There are separate categories for kids 14 & under and young adults 15-25.
The award consists of the Official President's Volunteer Service Award pin; Personalized certificate of achievement; and a note of congratulations from the President of the United States.
Eligibility Guidelines:
Must be between the ages of 14 and 25, and have recorded at least 50 hours of community service within a 12-month period. Volunteer hours must be unpaid, and cannot include court-mandated community service.
