- Established 1st green roof enclave in Boston with 5 local colleges
- Installed 28 extensive solar panel array on school gymnasium
- Used produce grown in greenhouse and rooftop garden for cafeteria dining effectively reducing "food miles"
- Lobbied the city to pilot single stream recycling program
- Collaborated with The Food Project to create farm-to-market summer camp to maintain campus greenhouse and garden.
Paul Robeson High School
Brooklyn, NY
- Raised awareness for key environmental issues through educational green games played by the students
- Established Urban Green Group and created 16 PSAs and an environmental blog, using twitter to drive participation
- Hosted Earth Day in local garden and farmer’s market; painted a mural on local Garden shed
- Designed a recycling plan for the 1st ever recycling program at their school.
DeRuyter Central School
DeRuyter, NY
- Combated vampire energy, the surplus energy being consumed when appliances are not powered off fully
- Used the school play to educate the audience and get them involved!
- Established a system for ensuring that unused appliances were shut down
- Recycled all cans and bottles in the school
- Held a Green Dance and raised over $500 for Save the Rainforests campaign
St. Luke School
Barrington, RI
- Created a community garden at their school using recycled materials
- Started a blog called Garden Green Angels which allowed students to share all that they learned about the environment using photos and video
- Contributed to the spread of information through signs around the school
