Why is art education important to you?

Just like how English education helps students learn to present their thoughts in a more eloquent, understandable manner, art education helps students learn to portray the thoughts they cannot put in words in a universal manner. The "language" art education teaches one to speak transcends all sorts of barriers, be they emotional, spacial, or language barriers. To me, the language that art education has taught me has allowed me to show the true inner workings of my mind and to get my voice heard, when I am too shy too get my voice out otherwise.
