11 Things We Hope to See at the Oscars

The Oscars is one of our favorite awards shows of the year (but the Do Something Awards is still our fave). With James Franco and Anne Hathaway being some of the youngest co-hosts ever, we're hoping they'll shine the light on some social good. Here are 11 wishes we hope will come true on Hollywood's biggest night.

  • Franco and Hathaway have proclaimed that they’re not going to be mean-spirited and bully their actor peers at the show. Hopefully they team up with Jersey Shore’s Vinnie Guadagnino and rock out his anti-bullying shirts while getting into a fist-pump battle.
  • Trying to one-up Mark Zuckerberg’s huge donation to the public schools in Newark, Jesse Eisenberg donates his luscious locks to those going through chemo.
  • Black Swan star Natalie Portman does an impromptu PSA regarding eating disorders while snatching up her well-earned Oscar gold.
  • Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi speak out for music education before performing the song "I See The Light" from Tangled
  • The creators of Toy Story 3 start a toy drive for children in need outside the Kodak Theatre.
  • Anticipating the famously long award ceremony, the cast of The King’s Speech orders a mandatory tea break at "halftime".
  • The cast of The Kids Are All Right make buttons to promote gay rights.
  • Sandra Bullock carries a purse made of recycled US Weekly magazines with her (and the personal drama she had to overcome this year) on the cover. Stars, they're just as green as us!
  • In a departure from their Oscar-nominated boxing-based movie The Fighter, Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale next star in a dramatic badminton tournament drama...to promote a less violent form of exercise.
  • Helena Bonham Carter’s red carpet outfit is the same dress she wore as The Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland.
  • One of the nominated green documentaries, Gasland or Waste Land, wins for Best Documentary Feature.
