International Women's Day: Get involved

Today, March 8th, marks the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day. On the heels of a big night for women at the Oscars, today, the world comes together to recognize the issues that are unique to women around the world: maternal mortality, rape as a tool of war, raising families in poverty, protecting children from disease...these are just a few of the issues that women in the developing world deal with everyday.

But today, women in the US and around the world can continue to have a voice for their rights at home and stand in solidarity with their fellow women in countries around the world.

So get involved: team up with the Enough Project's Raise Hope for Congo campaign Women for Women International, and the Man Up Campaign to take a stand for women in the developing world and be a part of ending violence and discrimination against women in the Congo, Rwanda, Iraq, Bosnia, and many more.
