Natural disasters happen... Are you ready?

Natural disasters have been in the news quite a big these past two weeks – an earthquake and strong aftershocks in Haiti, storms ravaging California.

A Pacific storm has pummeled Southern California with heavy showers, causing hundreds of residents to be evacuated as mudslides and flooding threatened homes.

In Ventura, on the outskirts of Los Angeles, witnesses described seeing a wind funnel touch the ground. The unconfirmed tornado lifted a car into a tree, damaged homes and took out power.

With all these disasters, maybe it’s time to check in on your disaster prep knowledge. Share the info with your family and neighbors.
