We tried to resist, but with Taylor Lautner on every talk show and numerous posters of a red-eyed Dakota Fanning posted around the city, we got excited about Eclipse.

Here's 11 things we're hoping to see in the movie.

1. The Bella and Jacob kiss
2. Action packed battle scenes
3. The consequences of an unhealthy relationship. Telling a girl "I will fight for you until your heart stops beating," is a little intense.
4. Nikki Reed as Rosalie. We love watching our campaign spokesperson onscreen.
5. More attention on the struggles of Native American tribes. Jacob's La Push reservation is very separated from the town.
6. The marriage proposal. We're saps like that.
7. Victoria's army of vampires. Will it be a metaphor for gang violence?
8. The briefness of life and the grieving process. Bella will have to see all of her friends grow old and pass away if she chooses to be a vamp.
9. Questions of safe sex. Will abstinence be the reigning prevention method?
10. All of the boyfriends that will be dragged to the movie theater
11. A shirtless Taylor Lautner on a 100 inch screen. At this point we'll remind those boyfriends who tagged along that Taylor doesn't use steroids, so neither should they.

What can you do?

Hopefully Twilight inspires some serious action.

• Friends will have rough times. Be there for your friend so he or she can deal with grief and avoid the crazy stunts Bella tends to pull.
• Don't think all relationships should be like Edward's and Bella's. You have rights to respect.
