Hey ! The holiday season is all about giving and Doing Something for others. It's a perfect time to get your club mobilized around a big project. What about a canned food drive for Feed the Need? Or a toy drive for your local children's hospital? There are so many ways you can give back this holiday season. | Cause of the Month: Hunger Over 12 million kids in the US rely on food banks for their next meal. Help us collect 1 Million lbs of food this November to fight hunger! Start a food drive in your school or register one you're already working on. Tell us how much you collected by December 15. You could win a pizza party at your school sponsored by DoSomething.org and a $1000 donation to your local food bank. UC Berkeley's Do Something Club Wins Save Our Music!! Do Something has teamed up with Vh1's Save the Music Foundation to empower you to fight for music education. The Do Something Club at the University of California Berkeley rocked the Save Our Music campaign. They distributed flyers and posters to raise awareness, worked with local schools to build their music programs, and involved the University's music department in their efforts. They won a $2500 music grant , a Fender Guitar, and a Beatles Rock Band video game package. Read more about their projects and meet the other winners! Want to get involved? Meet Mike! After 2 awesome years of working with the Clubs, Melanie is transitioning to a different department of Do Something.
