Media and negative body image

Body Image

do you think that young girls, around the age of 10 are being influenced negatively by the media because of the women portayed in magazines and on websites such as missbimbo.com?

re:media and negative body image

I agree but I think women of all ages are affected by the media let's not limit it just to young girls. Tell me you haven't heard someone in thier 30's talk about watching thier weight and counting calories-its the media. They didn't wake up one day and decide to step on the scale for no reason

yeh definately, i think its

yeh definately, i think its a big issue, i'm studying it for my media course. theres not much you can do about it though, these influences are everywhere.

RE: Media and negative body image

for sure. but even in the age groups of 12 to 19 are definitely being influenced. dont you think?
