Did you know, 1 in 3 homeless people in the US are under the age of 18! So, start this year by going through your closet to collect jeans for homeless teens. From January 22nd to February 10th, you can drop off your gently-worn jeans at any Aeropostale location across the US and Canada and Do Something will make sure they get donated to a local homeless shelter. Plus, you'll get a coupon for an additional 20% off a new pair of jeans!

I always said that teens are
I always said that teens are the ones that most need help in our society, they are victims of their age and that explains the high number of homeless kids addictive to drugs. They don't get support and understanding and this is the result we get... They need a social program including also a drug rehabilitation program to protect them and bring them back to a normal life.
I Missed the date!!!!!
I really wanted to be a part of this organization but i missed the date!!The last date is my birthday and i will not get to go to my nearest areopostale to donate my jeans. Is there any way that i can still donate them. I do not need a new pair because i just think that this is a very good idea.

Homeless Youth Awareness Walk
My name is Zach and I am 9 years old. I am planning to walk from Tampa to Tallahassee during the month of November. It is around 250 miles so I will walk 11 miles a day.
The point is to bring awareness and raise money. If anyone would like to walk with me for all or part of the walk let me know. You can walk a mile or 250 miles any little bit will help. I think the more people that know about this problem the more help we can get to solve it.

actually..
that could cause problems sometimes if u give money 2 homeless peeps they spend it on drugs and alcohol as worn out as they are. the better thing 2 do would b 2 offer them actual objects. 4 example instead of giving them $10 buy them a burger and a drink or somtin. just giving them money could go 4 the worst. of course somtimes money would do them well but sometimes it could get them worse
moi, 14 XD
answer-teens 4 jeans
ya.
or you could even mabey do it in another place rather than a school!
the little things that can make a big difference
We had this really great speaker at our church last year who specifically worked with homeless people. She really widened my horizon on this topic.
Here are 2 simple things you can do to help out:
1. carry around a couple pairs of clean socks in your car. When you drive around the neighborhood, keep your eyes out for that homeless person you always see with the wornout sneakers. After all the summer heat and humid weather, imagine how uncomfortable it would be to wear the same pair of socks for the next six weeks. And when winter rolls around, after trudging in the rain for several weeks in the same pair of socks, bacteria might grow, it's even likely to cause health problems. A pair of clean and fresh socks takes care of comfort and hygiene.
2. Carry around non-perishable food items in your car. Examples would be granola bars, Cereal bars...Something nutritious and packs a lot of energy. When you drive past another homeless person, offer them food. In a lot of cases, it's better than giving them money.
I encourage you to try it. I dare you, I double dare you.
Oh there's a 3rd thing: Smile and show them heartfelt kindness and interest in their lives
teens for jeans
i want to start a teens for jeans drive, but i am homeschooled and do not belong to a homeschool group. should i ask the local high school about doing it?
My Solution
We should give as much money as we can to a homeless guy. And we should always help every one of them every time.
Convincing
How do I convince my parents to let me do this?
great idea
I think that I will get with my school's Student Council to bring about this jeans drive in our area because something like this has never been done before and it should have a great outcome.
