Playgrounds

School Violence

Do you think that schools having playgrounds as popular community gathering places is a good way to combat violence that happens there? I know that this applies mainly to elementary schools, but take high schools that always have the community around at sports events on the fields-- do you think that this helps? I know that even as really young children, play teaches people to act out aggression in healthy ways & learn about how to interact with others, and it seems to me that even just having a community gathering space like playground helps to keep a neighborhood safe too. What do you think?

Not all the Time!!!!
