Hunger

i know how you feel. :] i found this one site that was featured on the Today Show. go to this site and put your skills to the test. the more words you answer correct, the more rice goes to the people in poverty. pretty neat i think. www.freerice.com
to feed the hungry
It is a great stigma to the current president, king, emperor if his people still suffer from starvation, it means he is a weak ruler.A powerful ruler should make his country prosperous, look after his people well, not to let them go hungry.
A great number of officials are very corrupt, they squander the money away made by the people. If the goverment officials and other leaders really have people in mind, they should allocate money from different sources and feed the hungry.
I am still a student, I don't have much source of income yet. Personally whenever I come across a beggar, I give him/her the money on me.
The world would become more beautiful if we could care about each ohter.

What should I do?
My school is raising money for a local food center, and I really want to help out. But I don't have much money of my own, and I don't think its right to make my parents give me money. I would really enjoy doing something to raise money, but I am always bussy. Do you have any ideas for me?

Hungry Children
If you don't have a lot of time to donate your services, go to wandafloyd.my-ntc.com and make a one time or recurring donation to feed hungry children. 100% of our donations go toward feeding the children.
one lttle thing you can do for hungry homeless
I sometimes carry gift certificates wiht me--to places like McDonald's and other food spots that don't serve alcohol. When a homeless person asks me for money, instead I give them a gift certificate!
So Much To Do!
I agree there are sooo many ways to help the people dealing with starvation. Every day, some new celebrity has jumped on the bandwagon to help some issue. Try going to world hunger organizations websites, or try to find a local organization so you can help the people around you who are having trouble putting food on the table. Many organizations offer teen missions trips to help out the people of different countries. Check it out!

There are tons of things to do. Try looking up organizations that deal with world hunger and ask them if you can help. You can always run fundraisers to send money to foreign countries, or drives to collect toys and clothes. If you're really adventurous, you can even volunteer there! Keep us posted on what you do:)

You've come to the right place! Visit the "Causes" section of the website and click on the "global extreme poverty" section to see and learn about organizations that are dedicated to that cause...You can even have a fundraiser of some sort (bake sale, party, lemonade stand...anything!) and donate the money you raised to that organization. If you want to donate your time locally, plug your zip code into the box in the "Volunteer" section of the dosomething website to find local homeless shelters and soup kitchens you can work at.
Post your projects on the "Projects" section once you've done something!
