I love to dance, but most people won't call that a sport even though I think that's unfair. I also love to swim. What about you? How do you guys work out?

Well I haven't figured out
Well I haven't figured out yet what is my favorite sport, i like most of them, not to mention that some sports are true art for me. I am looking forward to attend the next sport event in my city, I am already searching for sports tickets.
...
I like biking, hiling, swimming, and kayaking. Kayaking, not whitewater but recreational, really tones the body, especially your arms and your abs, since your pulling against the oars.
I <3 gymnastics! So much fun
I <3 gymnastics! So much fun to go upside down, and you feel so accomplished when you finally get that new trick you've been working weeks on. Plus, it's fun to perform at school, 'cuz everyone goes :0 and "Do it again, do it again!" Plus, it works out your WHOLE body. Keeps you totally fit, too.
Re: What's your favorite sport?
That's very true. I want to learn self defense, but not fight. That's one of the reasons which tai chi caught my eye, but the sad thing is the last couple places near me have shut down in the past year. I'm hoping that there's at least one more place that's able to teach. I also like to do things in the morning since my afternoons are booked. Biking has been working out, but it would be nice to do a routine in the morning. I agree with the dojang, but I haven't found a seriously devoted one, yet. My instructors liked to teach, but I don't believe their full spirit and effort were in it which I guess turned me off. Im still searching!!!
Re: What's your favorite sport?
You don't need to go into a matial art to learn how to fight, since there are intense aerobic benefits anyway. Learning HOW to fight won't change whether or not you want to fight, much like buying a gun doesn't mean that you'll be more likely to kill someone.
TaeKwon Do is a lot of fun for me, both the sparring aspect and the exercise aspect. Take care that you find a real, caring dojang and not a black belt factory. On the other hand, you get out of a sport what you put into it.
Re: My Fav. Sport
Nice on the 16 miler!!! I bike every morning before school at least 20-30 minutes and then an hour on the weekend. Right now I'm not doing a sport since I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do. I did soccer for 6 years, but the whole team thing didn't work out. Karate was awesome when I was little, but then we cut that(I don't remember why), and then we did taekwondo for 6 months, but we didn't like our trainers that much. We're thinking about going back into it, but Tai Chi has caught my eye at the moment. I've also been thinking about the whole fighting thing. I don't like the idea of fighting, but if I need it I'll be able to use it. Any opinions?
Re: What's your favorite sport?
I like martial arts like TaeKwon Do. It's incredibly aerobic, and it really releases tension. I've gone into the dojang with a cold and left feeling like Silvester Stallone.
Working out is also fun - not treadmills, but real weightlifting. The effort releases endorphins, which make you feel good, and it also improves your body.
Walking ain't really a sport, but it's still fun and probably isn't too bad for you. I remember going 16 miles this one night.
Re: What's your favorite sport?
I love to dance! Dancing is totally a sport!
Re: What's your favorite sport?
I love all kinds of sports. I teach swimming lessons (which keeps me in shape) and lifeguard, so swimming is definitly one of my favoruite sports. I also love cheerleading. Many people think its not a sport, but it does give you a good work out, since proper cheerleading requires you to 'hold your body' (flex every muscle at once) while you cheer and do stunts (it tones you nicely).
Hockey is my favourite sport to watch, but that doesn't give me a work out. Especially since most people where I live enjoy lots of poutine while we watch hockey.

Re: What's your favorite sport?
I swim competitvely and also work out with weights at least once a day and that keeps me in very good shape, more the swimming than the weight training though.
Re: What's your favorite sport?
For me it's rowing and soccer.
Oh, and also recently biking, but I guess that is more recreational.
Re: What's your favorite sport?
Mostly track: running. It keeps you in shape and tones your WHOLE body.
Re: What's your favorite sport?
I LOVE CHEERLEADING!!!! I think cheerleading and dancing are both sports even though a lot of people don't think so. I also love biking and walking my dog.
oh yeah
I like cheerleading because, you get to like flip and stuff like gymnastics but i think in cheerleading you have a lot of more spirit for who ever you are cheering for. Like a school team you cheer for the school and have a lot of school "SPIRIT". You also get fit too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PROPS TO MY CHEERLEADERS!
Re: What's your favorite sport?
I'm all about soccer and gymnastics. There's nothing like scoring a goal with a header or flipping around in the air and landing JUST right. Ahhhhh, it makes me happy just thinking about it
Re: What's your favorite sport?
I Like track because of the running. Keeps me in shape for my other sports.
(no subject)
Hey, nice, my sister plays that. You use sticks 'n all, but I always thought the strategies worked kinda like soccer...a very good thing.
My Fav. Sport
I love fieldhockey. I There is a lot of running in the hot summer, but it is so much fun!
