Opening a homeless shelter

Teen Homelessness

I currently work at a homeless shelter for single mothers. I really would like to open one myself. My goal is to get one started before the end of my Fall semester. Its not that I dislike the shelter I curently work at, I just feel that I could make more of an impact if I began one myself. Any ideas?

Wish I could help

I have kind of the same goal in mind, but have no idea in how to go about it. Doesn't seem like the others had many ideas either! Maybe you could ask around how the entrepeneurs got started at the homeless shelter you are working at currently. I am getting ready to do the same. Then find a place or a way to start providing a service to the homeless in your area. Once you get established and have more people coming to you for your service, start fundraising. This is all I have for now.

Nice!

You should stick to that, I think that its way awesome that your goal is to open your own homeless shelter!

yeah that sounds nice i

yeah that sounds nice i think you should do it =]
