In MP 1 at school we had 4 bomb threats almost consecutively. Then last Friday we had a gun scare. It wasn't something just scrawled on the wall...someone actually called 911 and said someone was going to shoot everyone and then themselves that day at school. I'm scared to go on Tuesday. What am I to do???

I talked it over with him and he said we could go so we can see you. I have an exam yesturday and passed it with an 99 and my professier was like god gurl you must take what you do serious I was like yeah I have kids and a husband back home and one on the way so I have to get my job as a doctor so I want continue to let my husband stay out of work cause of me going to school. but my husband did go to michigan two weeks ago cause he have to carry a load of Lodges

I know I am going to unc and it scares me like crazy especailly with a baby on the way and children at home and a Husband at home to you know. We are still going to Michigan this summer.

Well anyway to get back on topic, after what happened at Virginia Tech, the thought of public school scares me a lil bit... I'm going to college this August part-time, but I'm still kinda paranoid about a gun or something in there...

gurl if I was you I would transfer schools and go somewhere else if people were making threats every week and bring and having guns on them everyday at school you know I had a gurl to do that to me once cause she found out I was seeing her ex-boyfriend and got pregnant by him and fixing to marry him next July 25, 2008. yeah, I am happy for myself if only it would last. But the girl got mad and she come looking me to try to kill me.

I think that is a great idea.
That's really tough, do they have metal detectors at your school? Maybe they will think about installing them. It's really a shame that people have to feel scared at school, but I think this is an opportunity for your classmates to get together and support each other.

Wow. I can't imagine being in such a tough situation.
Most of the students that I read about that are behind these kinds of threats are folks that are victims of bullying or feel that they are completely not excepted in the school.
While you can't be expected to solve a problem that the administration can't deal with. But I would start small by trying to connect with the younger students at your school and create a small peer 2 peer mentoring system. Even if it begins with only 10 students, it might start to begin some change at your school. Good luck...

The police know too!!! We've had the FBI at our school more than I've EVER wanted to see them, and the threats keep coming almost every Friday! I'm scared to go to school!!!

Its not like they dont know. They do. Everytime it happens the school sends out a letter to the parents before the end of the day. We've had assemblies to try to stop the kids from doing it. It doesn't work!! I don't get why kids resort to violence!! It scares the heck out of me!!!
