Like any other American, I enjoy watching the news and seeing what is going on around my neighborhood and the world around me. There is only one kind of story that makes me cry are the ones where teens were drinking, or doing drugs and then they go driving and then die... It really makes me cry and hurt inside to see the poor desions that those kids made and how they, their family, friend and community has to pay for it. I really hope that no other kids/teens make mistakes like that and endup killing themselves and sometimes other people with them. I hope that celebrites, and famous people see the seriouness of this help with teh problem. Kids and teen across AMERICA!! DRUGS AND ALOCHOL ARE NOT COOL!! STOP USING THEM!!

this has always been a touchy subject and its difficult to get answers because it always be avoided easily. and yeah it really should be based on will power. moderation is the key or nothing at all.
thank you
thank you soo much! especially pray for the families because i know they are taking it hard....especially Brett's. I don't ever want to go through the experience of having to bury your child....when i have kids that is. just the whole situation sucks right now. everyone is bummed out. and yes there are consequences i just wish they didnt have to be soo severe in this case
omg
Aubre,
I am very sorry for your loss! My prayers are with you, Tyler, and Chris. This does confirm what I always say: There are ALWAYS consenquences for YOUR actions.
teens drinking & driving
I currently had a friend killed in a drunk driving car accient. His name is Brett. He was in the graduating class of '07 and was 18. He was with two friends and they had all been drinking. They took a sharp curve too fast on a dirt road and rolled the truck. Brett lost his life. Another broke a wrist and the other, Tyler, is still in the hospital with a broken hip, broken back in 2 places. This event happened on Saturday morning around 2 or 3 am. The last thing Tyler said to Brett was, "Don't let Chris drive." Chris drove. Tomorrow is the funeral and I am attending. This has hurt and made a huge impact on others. I just hope now this sends a message out to the rest of us teenagers that its not ok to drink and drive because there are consequences, such as someone's life.
I don't want to reject this,
I don't want to reject this, but I think peer-induced drug behavior is baloney. I think if you are truly aware of the consequences and are adamant about staying sober, then you should have the willpower to resist. If you have to have to compromise your health just to "fit in," then I think you need new friends (or try to get them out of the drug habit).
Mistakes are made and this can be one mess to get out of.
I think you are right.
I think you are right. people should start think about the consequenses before they do stuff like that.
