How do I open a soup kitchen/food bank for Immigrant workers living in Local Poverty

Hunger

I live in a small town in Florida where there are a lot more "have nots" than "haves". It has become painfully obvious to me that there is a need to reach this highly Hispanic and Black community. The poverty has lead to high drug use, prostitution, and more. What does it take to get a start in the right direction with this effort?

Cooking Up a Good Idea

There is no reason why anyone is this land of plenty should go hungry. Thank you for standing up for the people in need around you. You can accomplish this important mission and win the fight against hunger. I would highly recommend contacting www.foodgatherers.org for some help. Food Gatherers is an incredibly well run program that could give you some advice about getting started.

A church in TN started a Community Pizza Factory which I think is a cool program. I saw it listed online, but it appears to address more than just hunger. www.worldhungeryear.org/comm_conn/display_ria.asp?ria_ndx=31&graphic=2
