Motivation

My high school had a large canned food drive with a competition for the 1st hour class who collected the most cans. Whoever won got doughnuts. We also did a fundraiser where an out of dress code day cost a dollar. Almost everyone brought in the dollar, but no one cared about the cans. Does any one have suggestions on motivating fellow students in the future? Some teachers threatened students while others offered more rewards. Some did not even care. Their methods did not work. We're having the same problem with recyling. What do you think?

Food Drive Ideas

Hey here are some ideas for raising more cans:

  1. Get the teacher to promise to take everyone outside, day off, no homework, pizza party, movie day, or any other reward if you guys hit the goal of 500 cans.
  2. Contests work
    1. If someone raises more cans that your teacher they get to teach the class on whatever they want for 20 minutes
    2.  If someone raises more cans that the teacher, the teacher has to sing 1 song by Madonna or Michael Jackson

3. Find a company or person to match the number of cans in your homeroom

4.  Come in one day dressed up as Braveheart and give a rally speech

5. Hand out some more information on where the cans are going and who they will help in your local area. Get pictures if possible
