I became a vegetarian about February or March of this year. Not to lose weight or specifically because of animal cruelty but to conserve energy. But that's another story.I just want to tell aspiring vegetarians that when you first start off, it's typical to gain weight. DON'T WORRRY. It's your body's way of getting used to your change in diet. Since you eat more veggies that have less calories than meat, you burn it off faster and tend to eat more. It'll take your body a little while to adapt to your new lifestyle.Being a vegetarian CAN help you lose weight, however. It may not happen for everyone but over the last 10 months I've lost 12 pounds. My diet's a lot healthier now, thanks to my decision to go veg.Hope you're considering all this!
