I agree with both of you but think about it: If you were a candidate and you had that much money available, why wouldn't you use it? It's a great way to get your name out there - and if they didn't make their name known, half of us wouldn't even know who's running for president and wouldn't have a clue who to vote for so they would vote for some random person ( and therefore defeat the purpose of voting ). What we need to do first is raise the interest of Americans so that we follow political things more carefully. Any ideas?
It is insane how much money
It is insane how much money has already been spent on the elections. And, the main and most heated part of the election hasn't happened yet. It just goes to show how much money it costs to gain the support of a country. I think that there should be laws against how much people spend on elections-- there are more causes that this money should go towards.
