No one's talking about contraception

Teen Pregnancy

While everyone's talking about this scandalous news about Jamie Lynn being preggers, there's been little talk about contraception. Some argue that it's unrealistic to think that 16 year olds aren't going to have sex. So what does that mean? Should we be talking to teens more about contraception?

safe sex..

Some type of campaign or something needs to be launched that safe sex is just as good as sex with no protection. And in this age of major diseases everyone, kids and adults, are still being irresponsible. Ideally..abstinence would be great but if they choose to sexually active..make sure they are protected. Stars need to understand that the minute they "sign" up for fame and fortune, they are role models whether they want to be or not. Because alot of young people do not have role models or good role models in their lives...they look up to people they should not be looking up too...

Yes, and we do

One of the main reasons states have instituted FLE in class is to talk to students about sex. Last year in 10th grade I had to attened sex ed. classes which talked about the risks of sex and types of contraception. So we are informed about sex and its risks and contraception. But there is a more powerful influence which causes many teens to have sex, peer pressure and the media

absolutely.

if we dont encourage kids, like ones who look up to those like Jamie Lynn, more and more kids will be getting into it. my cousin had 2 children @ 19-25, (im not sure how old he is exactly) and kids are not ready to raise a child.

yes.
