Glaciers are melting, seas are rising, the salinity of the ocean and ocean currents are being affected, deforestation is accelerating, Europe is now going up in flames like Southern California, Hurricane seasons now even more unpredictable, the jetstream is dipping from north to south like a roller coaster and we (US) will not entertain the Kyoto Protocol due to possible effects to our economy. People, we are detroying our children's world. To do nothing is to condemn them. A Global Solution is the ONLY solution. All these factors have to be slowed down on a massive scale. Planting a tree is nice! We need to GROW forests! Desalination Plants in Northern Africa is a good start. Not only do you save the African Wildlife in Southern Africa, BUT more importantly you save lives. I would like help in creating a model on virtual reality. If they can spot the rings of crops in Northern Africa from satellites, can you imagine the effect of forests on the constantly growing desert?

Dominoe Effect
Planting trees is a small piece of the big picture. More trees, make a forest, forest inturn creates condensation in the atmosphere, more fresh water, more vegeteation covering the planet and soaking up UV Rays keeping them from bouncing off and making it hotter. Humid hot is good, but less vegetation is creating more dry heat killing off more vegetation. The dominoe effect goes on and on.

we need more than one day of not using electricity in order to truly make an impact. planting trees is a start though!

i think we should on strike and for one full day any and everyone doesnt use electricity at all for anything including heat well if thats possible but use nothing go through the day doing everything manually and for those computer addcits CONTROL YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!
