My Rotoract club is having a Green Home Expo in April at my college. We rented out a large hall and are inviting local businesses to come and display their "green" ideas. We charge a small fee for the display area and publicity and the money is helping to fund a trip to London so my Rotoract club can pair up with a sister club and do a large service project involving impovershed children. The goal of the expo is to educate my city and school on easy ways to go green. We are including textile businesses, restaraunts, nurseries (plants, not babies), and other businesses that pride themselves on being environmentally aware. Those that come have nothing to lose (because it's free) and everything to gain. Examples of what the businesses have to offer are: beautiful, inexpensive plants that are indengenous to the area and require less water, household items that use less energy, and cleaning supplies that are safer on the environement.
