CLEAN BEACH NATION Tedd Willever EBB [edited out by DS Staff] Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council [edited out by DS Staff] We, at CBN, have noticed a disgusting habit concerning our beaches on the Treasure Coast. It seems people use them as ashtrays. This destroys the coastal beauty of our beaches and needs to be addressed. We would like to install signage at all our beach entry points, alerting people of the proper way to extinguish their cigarettes. We will do all the work, planning and procurement of materials. We will ask for donations and volunteers. We ask only for permission and if possible funds. We have included a “mock up” of what this sign may look like. Of course, fine tuning will be necessary. We believe this is a great opportunity for city’s, businesses, suppliers, and people to show they care about our environment. Please help us raise awareness for “butt-free” beaches! Cc; File News Channel 12 FOX 29 NBC Home Depot Lowes Buzz 103.1 FM 92.7 The Wave To date we have recieved little to no support from any of the above listed folks.
