Project Description

This project is to improve the accessablility of the Community Youth Center to the students of the surrounding district. Our goals are to make the youth center more appealing by adding student art, painting the walls, and doing whatever else needs to be done, including adding activities that students would like to do.
It's a community service project that was first invisioned as creating a new youth center, but as facilities, time, and money became determining factors in our ideas, we decided that adding to this youth center would be better. First of all, the project is aimed at keeping teens away from drugs and alcohol, having a safe environment to hang out, and creating a good atmosphere. Growing up in the area, I know from experience that the general feeling is "there's nothing to do." Basically, if you can't drive, and your parents are still at work, theres no way to hang out with friends. This project will give an outlet to teens to be themselves. The project is not yet underway, but support is greatly appreciated.
