11 FAQs From Old People

Who you callin' old?!

No offense! We consider anyone over 25 years old to be an old person. Have fun with it.

How do I ask a kid what social cause they're interested in?

Phrase it differently. Ask them what pisses them off in this world.

How do I get my kid/student involved?

We host multiple campaigns at any given time of year. They don't cost money, and they have impact. Get started with this link.

Also visit our grants and scholarships pages to see funding opportunities for young people participating in social change.

What if my kid uses my email address?

Just like you’d hand off the phone to your child if someone called for him/her on your home phone, we’d like you to save the email so that your child can read the message from us.

Can I fill out my kid's report back form (a.k.a. "Tell Us About It" form)?

We believe in the power of young people, therefore we’d like them to fill it out themselves. However, we’re not gonna stop you from standing over their shoulder (wink, wink).

How can I find things in my area for my kid to get involved with?

Our campaigns can be done anywhere. Also, check out listings on our projects page.

How can I order a banner or action kit for my class?

Email clubs@dosomething.org with a name, address, and a summary of what you are looking for.

I can't find content/curricula that you used to have. Where did it go?

We recommend all users to use the search box located near the upper right corner of every page. If your search results still don’t yield what you’re looking for, please email help@dosomething.org and a real person (we swear!) will tell you where to find the content.

How do I get involved with DoSomething.org as an adult?

View our suggestions on how old people can encourage teens to take action.

Do you give money to people over 25 years old?

We don't, but other organizations do! Idealist is a great way for old people to find funding opportunities.

I'm very concerned with something that you are doing. How do I tell you?

We are all about listening. Share your thoughts with help@dosomething.org and we will address your concern.
