Smoking is unhealthy and can lead to many serious conditions including lung cancer, throat cancer, heart disease , death and many other consequences. Secon hand smoke is just as harmful as first hand smoke. It isn't right or fair that non smokers have to face the same health risks and consequences as someone who does smoke. Colleges should make their campuses smoke-free in order to decrease the health risks for non smokers and hopefully improve the life choices of those who do smoke.

I personally can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke so I try to avoid it, but there are so many people at my school that stand at the doors of the buildings smoking and I hate being choked out and inhaling that filth throughout the day. It needs to stop.

True, that's why tobacco companies are making millions in this. Ban cigarette smoking! Many of us hate the smell and contamination of this!

Also banning smoking on campus, can reduce the amount of pollution in our land, water, and air

I'm going to be a freshman this upcoming year. I don't want to have to worry about getting lung cancer or any health side affects that smoking can cause just because others decide to smoke near me. I don't want to be a victim of second hand smoke and I don't want my friends or professors to be either!
