Bullying or harmless fun?

NJ teen girls created a "slut list" calling girls at their school degrading names, but defended it as "harmless fun." You tell us.

Everyone is unique in their own way, and no one should be judged for their special aspects! Be your self, act your own way, don't follow, but lead!!!

I have seen that movie. That is not harmless fun. Doing that to someone can really hurt them. I don't think its right at all. Be who you are. Don't follow like those girls did. Speak against it.

I think that people shpuld keep their smart comments to themselves and not judge people because who are we to call people names or degrade a human being. I beleive in the saying treat others like u want be treated. Calling people low names is not how you would want be treated. Just dirty and wrong

They should stop having a "slut" list. It's mean and is apperantly hurting. But people that are on the list should just ignore it and go on with their day and not make a big deal. More people will be calling you a slut around school if you keep bringing it up.

No matter what it is people have the right to express themselvs appearence wise or verbaly
but nobody has the right to tare them down for them being open with who they are

i think its completely wrong!!!! Mean girls was designed to show girls that cliques are not fun!!! not to go out to and do it!!

it is not harmless fun because as you can see in the movie everyone was hurt and people were mad its not right to judge people....

1 acre of hemp for paper = 4 acres of trees saved, annually. Google it up. Environmentalism without hemp is like a joke without a punchline.

OK so that's my default signature, but I have to say what a b1t$h LOL. Kid friendly "you're a joke" to the "slut list" girl. Gossiping viral trashtalker. "We can all talk a lot of shit but if we keep at it we'll be a piece of shit," ~a wise old man. My question to her is, would she like to be on such a list? Would she like her reputation molested so rudely? Didn't think so. To the girls on that list; it is more important what you think of yourself, than what others think of you.. most of the time. Be strong.

It's called slander, and not only is it immoral, it also hurts. Maybe the girls on the list were mostly sluts, but if there's a chance that even one of them wasn't, it's slander. It's always a 'what if?' situation. And aside from that, I know what it's like to be put on that list. It makes you question: What is the definition of a slut? Does that mean you wear revealing clothing? Or you have sex with multiple people? Or does it have anything to do with your actions at all? These were the things that I pondered when I was 13 and first called a slut. So next time you hear that, think about it. Think about the people you're emotionally damaging and the questions you're provoking.
