Obama deserves it not because of what he's done, but because of what he plans to and has tried to do. His administration has freed 2 imprisoned North Korea journalists...something the Bush Admisitration could never have done.

But the wars are still going on. That is more than 2 people being hurt. He has plans but he hasn't done anything yet?

well hes doing all he can he may have power but not all. He is also limited on what he can and cannot do

he's not really that limited, he is the president of one of the world's biggest superpowers! like 1212Community said, the war is still going on, he's considering sending more troops over there, how is that peaceful? he hasn't really done anything yet, he's all talk, but earlier the very same day that he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, he bombed the moon, is that peaceful?

They're just giving that award out now like candy. I guess if Gore can get it so can he!

he has done some changes in our country little but he's done something to fix our country remember he got it when we were in a bad situation with economy

This award is appropriate not because he deserves it for what he has done so far, but because he has shown clear potential to be the one who can do more. By bestowing on him the award, the Nobel Committee is providing further momentum for Obama's cause. Rather than waiting until is is too late, they're giving him the prize as a call to action -- "you can do something, so do something now!"
