Should schools pay students for good behavior?

Discipline is a main concern for administrators.

if that's what it takes 4 kids 2 chill and shut their mouths in school then ya...try that...is it doesnt work idk what will

I don't think this is right simply because there are children all over the world who don't get a chance for an education while these students are technically going to be paid to do well in school. If students don't want to behave in school and get an education then it's their own problem, but if the school system has that kind of money it should be donated to other school systems in need. I go school, learn, listen, and do as I am told without getting a single dime. This is because I want to get an education worth something. Some students don't care and like I said it is their own problem, they should not be bribed to change this.

^^^^I totally agree (ashley) A lot of the kids in my class don't care. They always talk, and never listen in class, and they always want stuff. And, what would a first grader, or a second grader need money for anyway? I don't want money handed over to me to learn. And being handed money doesn't make you learn anything. Your totally right Ashley, and horns_fan, you are totally wrong, cause when those kids grow up, there most likely going to expect to be paid or bribed to listen, well, what did they learn?

I agree with NYGL and Ashley. They should give their money to a better cause. There are people out there going without a home food and education and they are giving the money to spoiled kids to help them do better in school. Instead of bribing them they should tell them the consequences of having bad grades (not being able to get a job for example) and let them make their own decisions. If they don't learn now they will eventually learn in the future.
America should invest their money more wisely.
Plus where do you think that money is going to come from? Probably taxes.

~It's not right for students to be payed for good behavior. It's a good incentive and all, but it's just not the right way to reward behavior in the school enviroment. Student should be rewarded in other ways, not by being paid. The sad part is that most kids today would behavior better if they got paid for it. Some parents already do that. If the student gets an A, they got money. It's a good concept, but it shouldn't be enforced. The money given to the students could be used (as did everybody else) for much better causes than students who are just behaving to get something for themselves.~

Although it would be nice to be paid, it's not a good way to make kids behave. That money could be used in better ways then being given to kids who might waste it. If a kid does not study or isn't nice or whatever, to change their ways just for money isn't good.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? NO! So your telling me that instead of using this money for things like helping homeless and the hungry, or, trying to find something else to fill our cars with, they want to PAY students to do something that they should already know how to do in the first place!? Thats just not going to cut it. I dont care if they were to pay me 1 million, i would rather it go to better causes.

Yes, I totaly agree, there is things that we could do with that money to actually help the world, as nice as that sounds to get a wad of money, its not right!!

I agree with Jesusgirl. If they have that kind of money why dont they use it to help make a difference and hopefully inspire us to do the same.

I think if they are good enough to get money for good behavior so should we
