i think people should be responsible for what they say online, however, i don't thinkit should be one of the only things looked at. how you act around friends when you're goofing off is different from how you act in school or at work.
Everything that you make available about yourself online, everybody can see it. It is in no way a vialation of some one's privacy to read the info about yourself you made public. You never know who reads that kind of stuff,so you've got to be careful.
