Action Tips: Create a video for Battle for the Bands

Music in schools is definitely worth saving, and we've got the way for you to help defend it. Make a video about the importance of music education for a chance to win $5K for your school's music program and tons of other hot prizes.

What we're looking for:

  • The videos should be no more than 5 minutes
  • Include a testimonial on why music education matters
  • Involve lots of other teens either starring in or helping to produce the video
  • Creativity counts! Include photos, film in unexpected locations, use humor - have fun!

What's next:

  • Upload your video
  • Submit your video [2] between March 1st and April 12th.
  • Go viral! Use social media (twitter, facebook, myspace) to get people to watch your video from April 13th to April 26th.
  • A panel of judges will review the top 10 videos and determine the winners of prizes like:
    • scholarships
    • your own Pop Up Video on Vh1
    • concert tickets
