We know you might be thinking that the Jonas Brothers [1] are about to kick off their Camp Rock 2 tour, and not a wild circus. But trust us, there are “goats” and “dogs” involved along the way. We heard that it’s all on the way to their concert in Connecticut, and there’s an inkling of do-gooding involved too...
On August 13, Kevin [2], Joe [3], and Nick [4] will play an intense game of softball. The 2010 Do Something Award winners [5] won’t be under the name "Team Jonas" though – the group's softball team name is "Road Dogs." The challenger? ESPN [6]’s team, the “G.O.A.T.S,” made up of former NFL player Marcellus Wiley, former MLB player Eduardo Perez, SportsCenter host Mike Greenberg, and more. (And we are told that “G.O.A.T.S” stands for “Greatest of All Time.”)
There’s no admission fee for the game, but the teams are stepping up to the plate for charity and accepting donations, which will benefit the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center's [7] “A Brighter Hope” [8] campaign. Funds will help improve facilities designed for child patients suffering from cancer and severe blood disorders.
Help champion the cause by grabbing the facts about cancer [9] and doing something about it. You can even host your own benefit concert [10] and rock out JoBros style!
