It’s no wonder Lovatics can’t get enough of Demi. Her hit single "Heart Attack " is all we ever sing, she is super cause-y AND she recently announced that she will be awarding a treatment scholarship for those struggling with mental health/addiction issues.
The singer has teamed up with CAST Recovery to create The Lovato Treatment Scholarship in honor of her late dad, Patrick Lovato, who passed away from untreated mental health and addiction issues.
The scholarship will help cover expenses for someone who is struggling with mental health and/or addiction issues. In addition, it will not only provide costs for one of CAST Recovery’s transitional living homes, but it will also provide clinical services at the center’s outpatient program. That's pretty amazing.
Lovato is no stranger to these issues herself -- she entered rehab for eating disorders and self harm in 2010 -- so she knows how expensive treatment can be.
If you are suffering from these issues and struggle financially, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org and tell them your story and why you believe this scholarship is for you.
