Want to see the New York Botanical Gardens or the Tenement museum stay a place of historic beauty? Well, you now can.

The National Trust for Historic Preservation [1] has teamed up with American Express to give away $3 million in grants. (Woot Woot!) Forty New York City historic sites need your vote. The top four places will receive up to $250,000 each, while the balance will be shared among the remaining 36.

You can vote [2] once per day and polls close May 21.
