Meet Timothy Le – he’s an awesome sauce member that helped seniors get wired! Le, along with three friends, recently taught about 15 seniors how to use the latest forms of technology.
“I wanted to give back to the community and [help close] the growing digital divide that seniors are continuing to experience,” he shared about his reasons for taking part in Grandparents Gone Wired.
The group prepared very detailed lessons for each of the sessions, which made it easy for seniors to participate.
Thanks to Le and his friends, these seniors now know the difference between a desktop and a laptop and how to operate and maintain their computer. They also learned:
- MS paint
- Typing in word
- Saving files
- Using the Internet
“It was a very rewarding experience,” said Le. Woot! We love to hear about the impact our members are making.
