Teen Director Fights Domestic Violence

Did you know that one in three teens is in an abusive relationship? Even more shocking, most don’t leave their partner. One New Jersey teen is taking a stand against violence in teen dating with his movie “Payin’ The Price.”

Jordan Coleman, also a Do Something Awards [1] recipient, wrote and directed the film that was shot around his hometown Hackensack, N.J.

"Instead of one in three [teens having been a victim of dating violence], it should be none in three," the 16-year-old, an honor roll student and athlete, told NJ.com.

Check out this video clip of “Payin’ The Price,” which is currently on a 20-city tour around the U.S. It also won HBO’s Best Feature film category at the 2011 Martha’s Vineyard African-American Festival.
