This grant is given through ABC and provides young adults with additional funding to continue making a positive change among the world. The program is run through ABC affiliates across the country and students are awarded for their previous hard work in making a change.
Applicants must have already completed a service project in their area and be sponsored by an organization through their school. Youth ages 5 to 18 are eligible to submit an application keeping in mind any application submitted by someone under 13 must be completed and submitted with the assistance of a parent or guardian.
$1,000 is awarded to multiple winners and among the winners 5 will be chosen to receive an additional $5,000 towards making a change in the world. Winners may be featured on Good Morning America and will receive an exceptional ABC Summer of Service Award.
