Have you ever been impressed by a musician performing on the train or bus? Take a marketing tip from them and consider performing at a local train station or bus terminal.

  • Don't break any laws! Contact your town or city hall just to be sure it's okay to perform.
  • Get your whole school involved. Recruit your school band and music program. Ask the art classes to design posters and fliers. Have the newspaper editors write a press release. This is a great way to get some free marketing for your program.
  • Scout a high-traffic area. The more people see and hear you, the better.
  • Hand out information. This is a great job for volunteers. Make sure spectators know the importance of music education and how they can support you. Be sure to include your school name so people know who you are.
