With the help of friends and family, I organized and arranged to do a community service project for a local non-profit wild life rehabilitation center called Desert Cry. To start the project I fist contacted Desert Cry to see what project I could do to help them the most, and they recommended that I should build a shelter for their wonded ground squirrels. I accepted the task and began to raise money for the building materials required. I passed out fliers to neighbors, friends and family to donate items to sell at a garage sale that i was going to host to raise money for the project. With the garage sale being successful, I was then able to buy all the materials required. The next task at hand was to round up a group of people to come to Desert Cry and help build the shelter. The task was to build a specific design so that the ground squirrels can dig and run so that they can recover from their injuries and are able to be re-introduced into the wild.
