For many homeless men and women in our community, hope comes in the form of a burrito. Its simple and plain but in the words of one of our recipients, "At the end of the day, its more than just a burrito." Every week prepare bean and rice burritos with a number of volunteers in our small kitchen. We then load them into our backpacks along with some bottled water and cycle around Corvallis looking for those in need of a meal. By bringing a burrito, water, and spending time listening to other's stories we give them hope to get through the day. Our volunteers also get to witness firsthand the lives of those whom they walk by on the streets and gain a better understanding of the world around them that they in turn pass onto others.
