CoThink.org is a service learning platform reducing the overhead of integrating real-world community-based projects into academia.
Currently, most student work ultimately ends up in the trash, providing marginal gains in skills, and no practical experience or connections to the real world. Professors seek to demonstrate applications of their subjects, but the administrative overhead of managing diverse projects makes it nearly impossible. Instead they create pseudo-projects in order to teach skills. Community programs benefit people worldwide, yet run on pittance. Highly skilled individuals simply exceed their budget.
