In 2005 three students at Centenary College decided it was necessary to start an emergency medical service (EMS) on campus. We worked for over two years fighting an up hill battle to create an EMS team. We faced many problems along the way such as funding, equipment, and staffing. Our mission statement is, to provide emergency medical coverage to the Centenary College campus thought out the academic school year. Our goal was to provide emergency medical care until our local township EMS arrived. In 2007 our dream finally came true with the help from the Centenary College director of Public Safety the Student Government Organization voted unanimously to give Centenary College Emergency Medical Services its charter. Many times though out our struggle we ran into brick walls and with the help and encouragement from Resident directors and Resident Assistants as well as friends we continued and were final able to create this team.
Centenary College EMS is made up of 12 highly trained volunteers that work very hard to provided a much needed service to out fellow students, Staff members and professors.
