Fighting to Dream is a short documentary film sharing stories of triumph over oppression.
Three young women—Martha, Jean and Eunice—each had a dream. Each longed for education, and fought against social norms that dictated otherwise. Martha, Jean and Eunice, like too many girls in the majority world, have fought against poverty, sexual assault and gender discrimination and continue fighting to dream.
Combating sexual violence, Freely in Hope supports young women who need access to education, need safe education and need education to overcome oppression. By funding high school and college scholarships, providing healthcare and psychological counseling, Freely in Hope scholars are filled with a passionate drive to inspire change.
Despite issues of the past, the trauma they’ve overcome and the many nay-sayers who discourage their success, these girls are receiving education, overcoming stigmas and fighting for the rights of others in their communities.
Fighting to Dream is a story of three young women who are giving others the audacity to dream again.
