Seventeen years ago my twin brothers were diagnosed with autism. Back in the early 90s nobody knew much about autism, let alone how to help them live their life with it. They are now twenty and have overcome so many obstacles everyday since their diagnosis. The problem I am trying to solve is: how to spread the awareness and acceptance of autism. The resources for autism have increased immensely since my brothers' diagnosis, but some people are still in the dark about it. According to Autism Speaks, autism affects 1 in 88 people. This makes autism an everyday occurrence and people should know about something that surrounds them everyday.
