The Problem

There is a huge problem in Haiti with the shortage of food for the orphanages and the children who reside there. They also need water and electricity as basic needs of living along with charcoal. I and an organization from the UK (who already has been doing this work) coincided and realized we need to give a boost to the help being given in Haiti.

Plan of Action

I planned to raise funds and go to Haiti and help the children and their communities by giving them food and provide them with other resources that will come in handy for them to live normally on a daily basis. I went to Haiti over my New Year's Break from college and visited 6 different orphanages. Before going and even while there, I raised over $3000 for the children there. We gave the children food worth over $2400 during the 5 day period I went there for.
