The Problem

While the Holiday for most is the time to share with your friends and family. People often travel an lose site of those that are in need. We ask people to give the gift of giving while on break. Hurricane Sandy left many people homeless, jobless, and without a meal. The children were in shock that a storm could do so much damage and they were worried about christmas and the holidays.

Plan of Action

We flew to NY and packed groceries for people at the Bedstuy against Hunger program -most people came with a suitcase and waitied since 5 am to receive a Holiday turkey and weekly provisions. We then worked for St. John's Bread of Life and rolled silverware for those needing ThanksGiving meals and lastly we went to Ralph Avenue Lil Scholar Daycare to speak to children about the flood and provide encouragement for those children who may have suffered.
